CLEARWATER, FL — A devastating wrong-way collision outside Clearwater claimed the lives of two men early Tuesday morning after a vehicle traveling in the incorrect direction struck a motorcycle and a passenger car near a highway rest area.

According to preliminary statements from Florida law enforcement and emergency first responders, dispatchers received urgent 911 calls at approximately 1:45 a.m. reporting a multi-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes.
McDonald was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, while Seguin was not wearing a seat belt. Two people who were in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The sudden loss of two lives is a painful reminder of how quickly circumstances can change. Behind the details of the collision were two individuals with their own lives, experiences, relationships, and stories. Their deaths leave family members, friends, and loved ones facing a difficult period of grief.
