Charles was 58 years old, an age marked by years of experiences, stories, friendships, accomplishments, and moments that shaped the person he was. Though the circumstances surrounding his final moments are painful, his life should be remembered for more than the tragedy that took it. The silence following such a loss can feel profound. A familiar name can suddenly become a cherished memory, and ordinary places can forever hold the weight of remembrance. For those mourning Charles, the days ahead may bring difficult moments but may also bring comfort through the memories he created throughout his life.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the cause of the crash. As the investigation continues, thoughts remain with everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.
