Malina E. Chandler Cullman, AL Obituary-Car Accident: 73-Year-Old Malina E. Chandler Dies in Alabama 69 Crash

The Cullman, Alabama, community is mourning the loss of Malina E. Chandler, a 73-year-old woman who died Thursday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash on Alabama 69 in Cullman County.

According to the Alabama State Troopers, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 1 p.m. at the intersection of Alabama 69 and Cullman County 747, about nine miles east of Vinemont.

Chandler was driving a Hyundai Sonata when her vehicle was struck by a Ford Focus driven by 39-year-old Brandi McFadden, also of Cullman. Shortly afterward, the Hyundai was struck again by a 2003 Ford F-250 driven by 23-year-old Austin D. Johnson of Baileyton.

Chandler sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers reported that Chandler was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Authorities continue to work to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the collision and determine all relevant factors involved.

The sudden loss has left a painful void for those who knew Chandler. At 73, she had lived through decades of experiences, memories, relationships, and everyday moments that shaped her life and connected her to the Cullman community.
