Jamie Theron Tomlin and Tressa Diane Motes Car Accident: Jamie Theron Tomlin, 43, and Tressa Diane Motes, 73, Dies in Fatal Amory Crash

With broken hearts, the Amory community is mourning the loss of Jamie Theron Tomlin, 43, and Tressa Diane Motes, 73, who were killed Friday afternoon in a devastating head-on collision east of Amory, Mississippi.

The crash was reported at approximately 3:34 p.m. on Highway 278, east of Burr Road, according to Monroe County 911. Tomlin and Motes were traveling westbound when their vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle traveling eastbound.

According to Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley, both Jamie and Tressa were ejected from their vehicle during the collision. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their sudden deaths have left families, friends and loved ones facing an unimaginable loss. Jamie, 43, and Tressa, 73, were more than the names connected to a tragic crash — they were people with lives, relationships, memories and stories that mattered to those around them.

For their loved ones, the shock of losing two lives in a single moment is a pain that cannot easily be put into words. The days ahead will be filled with memories of the moments shared with Jamie and Tressa and with the difficult realization that they will not have the opportunity to create more.
