Alvin Tyrone Tisdale Shooting News: In Loving Memory of Alvin Tyrone Tisdale, 57, who Dies in Fatal Macclenny Shooting

With profound sadness, we remember Alvin Tyrone Tisdale, 57, of Macclenny, Florida, whose life was tragically cut short following a shooting early Monday morning. At approximately 4:30 a.m., Baker County deputies responded to the parking lot of Macclenny Veterinary Hospital after a 77-year-old Baker County woman reported that she had shot a man who attacked her.

Tisdale was transported to UF Health in downtown Jacksonville, where he later succumbed to his injuries. According to the Baker County Sheriff’s Office, the woman has cooperated with investigators, and the preliminary investigation indicates that she acted in self-defense. The circumstances remain under investigation.

While authorities continue working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, Alvin’s family, friends and loved ones are left to cope with the painful reality of his passing.

Behind the details of an investigation was a human life — a person who was known, loved and remembered by people whose lives he touched. His death leaves an absence that cannot be measured by the circumstances of that early-morning tragedy.

For those mourning Alvin, the days ahead may bring difficult questions and memories that are painful to revisit. Yet the moments shared with him, the relationships he formed and the memories he leaves behind will remain part of the lives of those who knew him.

May those grieving Alvin find strength in one another and comfort in the memories they shared with him. May the support of family, friends and the Macclenny community help carry his loved ones through this difficult time.

May Alvin Tyrone Tisdale rest in peace. May his memory forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
