Kathleen Henzler Fishkill, New York Car Accident: Family and friends tribute in loving memory of 64-year-old woman who dies in Indian Lake Ferrari Crash

With profound sadness, Kathleen M. Henzler, 64, of Fishkill, New York, is remembered following a devastating head-on collision Saturday evening in the town of Indian Lake. The crash happened at approximately 6:41 p.m. on October 3 along State Route 28N, where a yellow Ferrari crossed the center line and struck a blue Hyundai traveling in the opposite direction. Kathleen was a passenger in the Hyundai, which was driven by her husband, David Henzler.

According to New York State Police, the Ferrari was a 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia operated by 63-year-old Eric Zuccarelli of Lambertville, New Jersey. His passenger, 53-year-old Jin H. Song, was also injured in the collision. David Henzler and both Ferrari occupants were transported to area hospitals, with all three reported in stable condition.

Despite lifesaving efforts by emergency medical personnel, Kathleen was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her death brought a sudden and heartbreaking end to a life that deserved many more tomorrows. For those who knew and loved Kathleen, the tragedy is not simply about a crash or a name in a report. It is about the loss of a person whose presence, memories and relationships can never be replaced.

Kathleen’s name now carries the weight of a painful loss for her family, friends and everyone whose life she touched. Behind those few details is a woman who had her own story — a life filled with experiences, meaningful moments, relationships and memories that remain with those who loved her.

There are losses that words can never fully explain. One ordinary Saturday evening became a moment that changed everything, leaving behind an absence that will be felt in countless quiet moments and familiar places.

As Kathleen’s loved ones face the difficult days ahead, the memories she created will become an enduring part of her legacy. Her life was far more than the circumstances of her final moments, and she will be remembered for the person she was and the connections she shared with others.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing, and New York State Police are asking anyone with information or video of the vehicles involved to contact investigators.

May Kathleen Henzler be remembered with love, dignity and compassion. May the memories she leaves behind bring comfort to her family and friends, and may those injured in the crash continue their journey toward healing.

Rest peacefully, Kathleen. Your life mattered, your memory will endure, and you will never be forgotten.
