With profound sadness, Laderrick Jones, 24, is being remembered after his life was tragically cut short in a shooting Monday afternoon on North Highland Avenue in Jackson, Tennessee. At approximately 12:27 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to 2018 North Highland Avenue following a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Laderrick in a parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where he received emergency medical treatment. Despite efforts to save his life, Laderrick later succumbed to his injuries.

The Jackson Police Department’s Major Crimes Division quickly began working to identify those involved in the shooting. According to police, an adult suspect surrendered to officers at approximately 9 p.m. Monday, while a juvenile suspect was located and taken into custody later that night. Authorities said all individuals involved are currently in custody.
