With heavy hearts, the Taylors, South Carolina, community is mourning the loss of Robbin Edward Lollis, 61, who died Tuesday night following a fatal hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Greenville County.

According to authorities, the collision happened shortly before 11 p.m. at U.S. 29 and Tappan Drive in Taylors. Lollis was riding a 2025 Zihing motorcycle that was turning left onto northbound U.S. 29 when it collided with a Toyota RAV4 traveling south through the intersection.
Emergency personnel attempted lifesaving measures at the scene, but Lollis succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver of the RAV4 fled the crash scene on foot following the collision. Troopers later located the suspect, who was taken into custody and booked into the Greenville County Detention Center. Authorities had not released the suspect’s identity or announced the charges expected to be filed at the time of the latest reports.
For those who knew Robbin, his death is far more than another entry in a traffic report. Behind his name was a human life — 61 years of memories, relationships, experiences and moments shared with the people who mattered to him.
There is something especially heartbreaking about how quickly an ordinary night can become a final moment. A journey that began like any other ended suddenly beneath the lights of a busy Upstate intersection, leaving family, friends and loved ones to face an absence that words cannot easily fill.
At 61, Robbin had already lived through decades of experiences and memories, yet there were still moments ahead that should have been shared and days that should have continued to unfold.
His passing leaves behind more than the wreckage of a crash. It leaves behind people who will remember his presence, carry his memory and feel the weight of his absence.
As authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, Robbin Edward Lollis will be remembered as more than a victim of a hit-and-run. He was a person whose life mattered and whose story deserves to be remembered with dignity and compassion.
May Robbin Edward Lollis rest peacefully, and may his family, friends and loved ones find strength and comfort as they grieve this heartbreaking loss.
